Ocean Bay Park is a hamlet in the Town of Brookhaven in Suffolk County, New York, on Fire Island. To reach Ocean Bay Park, one must take a ferry or watertaxi from Maple Avenue, Bay Shore on the mainland. Although Ocean Bay Park is perhaps most well-known for Flynn's Fire Island bar, many residents and new families who prefer a more peaceful atmosphere than other communities have been drawn to Ocean Bay Park. Ocean Bay Park has a modest commercial stretch along the Bay Walk, which features a Fire Island hotel, three restaurants, bars, and a food market. Ocean Bay Park has one of Fire Island’s only bicycle shops, which offers bicycle rentals for exploring and cruising through its network of sidewalks.

Fire Island is a thin Atlantic Ocean barrier island off the southern shore of Long Island, New York. It’s known for protected beaches interspersed with seasonal resort communities. On the western tip, Robert Moses State Park offers picnic spots, pitch-and-putt golf and access to the 19th-century Fire Island Lighthouse. It’s also the only area of the island accessible by car.
